The staging server is a mechanism by which the site can be viewed before it is published to the outside world.  This allows any mistakes or errors to be corrected before the website is published.  

The staging server is activated by clicking on the following icon in the bottom left hand corner of the browser.

This icon is shown if the staging server is currently Off :

This icon is shown if the staging server is currently On  :
