Linking

Links can be created between the page and an external/internal resource.  You can create links to:

·      Related Documents: A document (e.g. PDF or Word Document) registered in the Asset Library.

·      Internal Link: link to another page on your website.

·      External Link: link to a page on an external website.

·      Bibliography: link to a book registered in the bibliography.

All documents that are registered with the Asset Library can be referenced from any page on the site.  When you create the link between a page and the document, the link will be displayed as a reference at the bottom of the page in question automatically when the page is published.  You do not have to create any HTML for this to happen.   The links will automatically be appended to the page at runtime.

To create a document link, right click on the page in the site tree and choose “Documents and Links” from the menu.  Expand the tree to display the document that you would like to link to this page and click the document name in the tree.   You will then notice that the document has been added to the right hand side.

This link creation principle applies to all four of the link types.

To delete a link just choose the relevant section from the toolbar (i.e. Related Documents, Internal Links etc).  You will be given the list of documents that are linked for this section.    Click “Delete” against the item that you wish to delete.
