The aim of this one day course is to equip practitioners with the knowledge and skills of complex symptom management associated with gastrointestinal palliative care and the GI tract. Practitioners will have the opportunity to explore the current evidence base and discuss total supportive care including assessment skills, communication issues, ethics, symptom control, multi-disciplinary working and follow-up care. The study day is suitable for advanced practitioners who have in interest in caring for patients with gastrointestinal palliative care needs.
